SEQUENCE NAMING PROTOCOL:

Sequences for cuts should be named according to the unified naming conventions.

EDITORIAL CUTS:

PREMIERE BIN STRUCTURE:

  • 01 - CUTS – Organized versions of every cut. Sequences should be duplicated with every new day.

    • zArchive – Old cuts go in this bin.

  • 02 - SCENES – Individual scenes of a project. Scene bins should include individual dailies & a dailies stringout.

    • SC ## - [Short description.] – Bins should include a very short description of what happens in the scene.

  • 03 - ASSETS – Downloadable / receivable assets not commissioned specifically for the project.

    • 01_Stock – Stock assets licensed.

      • 01_StockVideo

      • 02_StockImage

    • 02_Images – Any images that were used for temp comps, graphics, etc.

    • 03_GFX – Downloadable graphics such as icons, logos, etc.

    • 04_FromClient – Assets provided by client such as logos, infographics, burners, etc.

    • 05_FromPremiere – Assets generated by Premiere, such as Adjustment Layers, Color Mattes, Transparent Layers, etc.

  • 04 - SOUNDS – Any sourced/temp sounds, organized by type.

    • 01_SFX – Sound effects, organized by category (body impact, footsteps, ambience, etc).

    • 02_ADR – AI / Temp ADR that is not final.

  • 05 - MUSIC – Music!

    • 01_Libraries – Music taken from our music libraries.

    • 02_Temp – Downloaded / unlicensed music from other projects not intended for final release.

    • 03_FromMX – Music provided by the project’s composer, if applicable.

  • 08_VFX – An additional folder where all VFX assets are centrally located.

  • 07 - OUTPUTS – Contains sequences specifically prepared for exports, usually for review. May contain burn-in timecode info.
